私がソニー株式会社を進路先として決めた理由は様々ありますが、やはりグローバル企業であると同時に、最先端技術を用いて人々に感動を届けている点です。ソニーの新製品などは、業界の先端技術を取り込んでいるため、技術力には驚かされます。また、ソニー製品が好きだということも大きな理由です。私は、大学の入学と共にカメラを使って写真を撮ることに興味を持ちましたが、最初のカメラはソニー製のものが良いと自然に思い、気が付けば購入していました。映画などもソニー制作のものが大変好きで、何度も見ています。また、インターンの経験を通して、社風にも惹かれました。私服での面接など、個を大切にしている企業だからこそ、自分の力を最大限発揮できると思い、入社を決めました。
I decided to join Sony for several reasons, but the main one is how the company moves people through new technologies on a global scale. Sony’s technical expertise is truly impressive; their new products always seem to lead the industry with the latest technologies.
On a personal note, I’ve always been a fan of Sony products. When I got into photography in university, I just knew my first camera had to be a Sony, and I bought one almost instinctively. I’m also a big fan of movies made by Sony pictures and have watched my favorites over and over.
My internship experience was the final piece of the puzzle. I was really drawn to the company culture. Seeing how Sony respects individuality—like allowing us to wear casual clothes for interviews—made me feel that I could truly be myself and give my best. That’s why I’m excited to start my career here.
学生時代を振り返ると、自分の興味ある分野を学べていたと感じていると同時に、非常に優秀な学生・先生方に囲まれていたと感じています。私が参加していた模擬国連サークルもゼミの先生の紹介であり、授業以外でも自分の興味のある環境問題に限らず、友人たちと国際問題などについて議論していました。自分の興味のある授業はもちろん、他の学部の授業を履修することができたのも、今の自分にとっては非常に有意義であったと感じています。また、先生方は授業後に疑問点などを丁寧に教えてくださるなど、恵まれた環境であったなと思っています。私は授業の多くを英語で取るなどして、自分の英語力も伸ばすことができたと感じており、上智大学で本当に良かったと感じています。
When I reflect my university life, I was able to learn my topics of interest and surrounded by brilliant students and professors. The Model United Nations, the circle activity which I have joined, was introduced by my seminar professor and I remember discussing international relations topics including my interests of environmental laws with friends even after the classes. I am very happy that I was able to take not only the classes that I was passionate to take but also many classes from other departments at Sophia university. Also, professors were very kind and gave me clarification after classes that the environment at Sophia was fruitful. I took many of my classes in English which improved my English skills that I am forever thankful that I studied at Sophia.
総合グローバル学部（FGS）は自分の研究したい分野をとことん突き止めることができます。また、FGSには海外・留学経験をしたことのある学生が多く、とても刺激的な環境であると思います。多くの経験や視点から、自分では思いつかなかったようなアイデアが多く、グループワークなどを通してコミュニケーション能力も鍛えることができます。そのため、FGSは国際関係などに興味がある学生には最適な学習環境であると思います。
自分の所属していたSPSF（Sophia Program for Sustainable Future）は、持続可能性という日本だけに限らず、将来において重要であるテーマについて学習することができます。SPSFでは、FGSのみではなく、多岐にわたる学部生が所属しているため、課題解決型のプロジェクトや議論を通じて、持続可能性について非常に深く考察し、実践する機会がありました。この経験は、これから先のキャリアでも必ず有意義なものであると感じています。
4年間の大学生活だからこそ、是非自分の学びたいことを学べる環境を選んでください！
Faculty of Global Studies provides an opportunity to explore the subjects of your interests and fields. In addition, there are multiple students with experiences living abroad that the studying environment is very stimulating. Different backgrounds and experiences helps to build an answer that you could not imagine by yourself and throughout the groupworks and presentations, you will be able to enhance the communication skills. FGS is an ideal studying environment for who wishes to study international relations.
SPSF (Sophia Program for Sustainable Future) gives a chance to learn about the topics of sustainability which is a crucial theme for human future. SPSF is combined with not just students from FGS, but other departments and as you progress with the problem-solving projects and discussions, you can consider what is “sustainability” for you and experiment your ideas. I believe that this experience I acquired though SPSF will be very meaningful in my future carriers.
I highly encourage you to choose a learning environment that aligns with your interests, precisely because university is a 4 years journey !
