Women in the Middle East have been considered victims of patriarchy, and often became the object to be rescued. However, it tends to be forgotten that rescue always involves asymmetry of power.
In the class, we will relativize the knowledge and investigate power relations from various perspectives through the themes of gender and women in the Middle East.
